Mechanic I
Rio Grande
Electric Cooperative, Inc. (RGEC) is accepting applications for the
position of Mechanic I to fill a vacancy in the Cooperative’s Ft.
Stockton Office. Applicants must have two years experience as a mechanic
or appropriate technical education preferred. Must be familiar with
hydraulics, brake systems, lights, preventative maintenance and vehicle
lubrication. Must learn, be able to read and interpret technical manuals
and complete vendor schools. Frequently moves and/or carries materials
and equipment weighing over fifty pounds. Must possess a valid Texas
Driver’s License with a clear driving record. Must have or obtain a
Class “A” CDL within six months from hire. Must learn and comply with
cooperative’s Safety Rules and Procedures. Must be or become certified
in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Applications may be
